• Feature. Blooms are typically single flowers with five petals and a pom-pom of yellow stamens in the center. These plants are adapted to dry conditions, so they have fleshy, succulent leaves and stems.
• Grow. Sow seeds in starter trays or individual pots 6 - 8 weeks before end of frost season. Press the seeds into the soil but do not cover. The seeds need light to germinate.
• Care. The plant moss rose, being in the succulent family, really does prefer to stay more on the dry side. Keeping it damp discourages it from flowering. Moss rose plants need full sun, at least six to eight hours on most days to look and bloom.
• Use. Moss rose plants are a popular choice for growing in container gardens, along the front edge of garden bed borders, as edging along paved walkways, on top of stone walls, and in rock gardens.
• Great For Birds, Bees, and Butterflies. Flower seeds grown outdoors will bring butterflies, bees, and birds to your yard and encourage their frequent visits.
